The New York City Post has a Local Annual Society Awards Program to recognize the contributions of the individual members of the New York City Post and to increase the population of local Post members in the Annual Society Awards. Awards: New York City Post Awards will duplicate National Society Awards categories. Click HERE for the National Society website for award details, categories, and Nomination forms at: Eligibility: All individuals who are members of the New York City Post, whether individual, or Corporate, are eligible. Format of Submissions: The nominations should follow the prescribed format as prescribed by the National Award criteria (see individual awards to the left for criteria specific to each award). Schedule: Different awards have different due dates. Please consult links to the left for details, nomination process, and deadlines. All nominations should be submitted to: Vincent Antes, Chairman, NYC Post SAME Awards Committee AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
In order to meet National Society deadlines, and to allow the Awards Committee to consider the award nomination, submissions should be made to the NYC Post Awards Committee at least 45 days prior to the National Society deadline.
The Awards Committee will meet periodically to judge award candidates and to select the Local Award Winners.
Presentations of Award Certificates will be made to the winners at New York City Post evening meetings or at the Annual Dinner Dance.
All winners or possible runners-up will be submitted as candidates for the Annual Society Awards prior to the deadline for the National Awards program. STREAMERS
The New York City Post competes annually for Society Streamers, which are awards for the Post based on its activities. Post Committee Chairmen and Committee members are urged to review all of the Streamers that are pertinent to their Committee functions and to be prepared to submit nominations. Questions may be directed to the Awards Committee Chairman, Mr. Vincent Antes, or the Post Secretary, Mr. Michael Scarano.
